This morning we took a trip to visit Ellie's favorite Santa (achem.. I mean the one and only Santa).. at the Natick Collection mall. For some reason she's really taken to this guy. He is very nice.. and definitely looks the part.
He did a good job getting a laugh out of Ellie, too. She was struggling to tell him what she'd like for Christmas.. "Um.. I want a.. a.. baby.."
Santa: "I know. A baby rhinoceros?"
Ellie: "Hahaha.. Noooo. I meant a baby stroller! And a camera."
That was a funny exchange.
This evening, then, Aunt SuSu came over and we made and decorated sugar cookies -- Ellie did a very good job.. only dousing a couple cookies with too many sprinkles. We also had a nice cheese fondue dinner (Ellie wasn't the biggest fan ever), then set up and decorated our tree. Ellie particularly enjoyed my baby shoes-turned-ornament. She liked them so much now there's a par of Ellie baby shoes-turned-ornament hanging on the tree.
