An Egg-celent Day!

Bet you thought Nick was writing this one base on the title! Nope. I can think of silly titles once in a while.

Before we get to today, last night there was a bit of horsing around the apartment before bedtime.

This morning, Ellie was happy that there wasn't any drizzling. She even stopped to smell the flowers outside of school.

She did side-step the existing puddle just inside the gate. However she was full of excitement that maybe today they would get to play outside.

Once inside the classroom, Ellie was super happy to see her picture on the wall with her new friends.

She also showed me the "girls that brought in the hatching eggs". Say what? Apparently a set of twins brought in some eggs to hatch. See, egg-celent! After seeing their photos Ellie went running to see if the eggs had hatched yet. Ellie said they were turtle eggs. Are you as egg-citied by this story as I was this morning?

"silly mommy! Not real eggs, toy turtle eggs!"
oh.
Yes, the girls brought in toys that when submerged in water, the "eggs" hatch and there are toy turtles.

Ellie was super egg-cited (I'll stop now, last one I promise) that one egg had hatched. She couldn't wait for the twins to get to school so she could show them.
