Look what came in the mail!

The American Girl doll catalog...Ellie's favorite. Although we have told her it is a magazine. She loves looking at all the pictures of the dolls and their outfits. She likes to compare herself to the dolls and babies, "she has blond curly hair like me mommy!" or "when I was a baby did I look like this, see she has blue eyes!".

Yesterday at school Ellie practiced writing her name.

She was so proud of her hard work, it was the first thing she told me about when I saw her last night. She told me she worked really hard on her 'n's.
This morning I learned about Ellie's preferred insects. Se likes mosquitoes (what?!?) but snails are her favorite. And bees? "If you are nice to them they won't sting you. You have to use nice words and say please and thank you. Then the bees will leave you alone".
