After asking for help putting on her ladybug wings, Ellie went around with her magic princess wand transforming things around the first floor. I turned from myself to a treat best suited for the summertime, then back into myself again.
"Poof! You're ice cream. Strawberry ice cream. Poof! Back to Daddy!" For a while Ellie tried her magic on Mallie, but she was only interested in trying to sleep on the couch -- until she'd had enough magic-making and decided to go upstairs. Ellie transformed the couch into a train.. the table into a "big, big sandwich," and the entire kitchen into the zoo -- with the refrigerator becoming an elephant, whom she then asked for more yogurt. The elephant (me) told her she could have some more for breakfast tomorrow.
At school Ellie had a good time jumping right into the playdough table.
Below are a few more pictures from the weekend. We made it to a slightly chillier playground Sunday morning.. then Ellie went over to play with the son of one of my co-worker's in the afternoon. His name is Cameron.. and he just turned 2 in December, but he and Ellie got along and played really well.. including hiding under Cam's train table together.
