"I'm back from California, everybody!"

That's what Ellie announced as she entered her preschool classroom this morning -- after a full week off for a trip to California -- to which she got a Cheers-like reception -- "ELLIE!" said everybody in the class. A regular Norm Peterson.

The day began, however, with Ellie playing a favorite new make-believe game: Super Cinderella! She thought her bath towel on her head was pretty close to a cape, so after bath time she likes to run and jump and pretend to save her babies from danger. And.. when that happens with certain pajamas on.. she becomes Super Cinderella.






Once at school, and after all the furor surrounding her return died down, Ellie, Natalie, and Meara formed a kids' version of a knitting group -- a practice cutting group. They chatted away about just about everything so much that Ellie could barely be bothered to say "Bye" to me.. but that's okay.
