Voting Day!

When Ellie and I got to school this morning we leaned that her school is a voting location (well, the church attached to her school). At 7am when the pools opened there was a long line of people waiting to vote.

Ellie was very interested in why so many people were at her school this morning.

But when I tried to explain voting and why people do it...I created lots of confusion. We started talking about what a president was, a leader, and the fact that people vote for how they think things should be done. She was confused...

However, Bridgette was dressed very patriotically for election day and seemed excited something was going on.

Or maybe it was the book Ellie took for sharing day. However, Ellie needed to finish her yogurt before she could play.
