Woot woot!!

Well, we are very excited about how the presidential election turned out. Last night as Nick and I watched the results last night we were pretty excited that they called the race pretty early. Then the whole Republican/Karl Rove not believing the writing on the wall and making a stink...so this happened in our house:

Nick took a little nap before Obama gave his acceptance speech. Overall, in California and across the country, typically we are pleased with the results of election day.

Now that that's over...we an focus back on our little family microcosm.

This morning I attended a parent/teacher conference at Ellies school. Unfortunately there was not time that Nick and I could attend together. But I did get a report card to share.

Overall, Ellie is smart, social, and advanced in MANY areas (including geography) for her age. However, she has a stubborn streak and sometimes has a difficult time expressing herself when she's angry. So nothing we didn't know.

When I left, Ellie was making a crown but pointed out to me that some of the shapes of the building block toys looked like the letters O, H, and I.
