Thank you, Mrs. Hyde!

Yesterday morning I left work a *tad* early to head over to Ellie's school for the surprise retirement party for her favorite teacher, Mrs. Hyde.

Mrs. Hyde made us all, not just Ellie, feel welcome and comfortable at Meher Montessori School after our move from Boston. The transition to a new place couldn't have been easier, and she was a big reason why.. so thank you, indeed.

The party was fun, though Mrs. Hyde was very surprised and spent the better part of the first 15 minutes bawling her eyes out. That bit wasn't made any easier as each student came up,
handed her a rose, and said "Thank you for being my teacher."

Here's Ellie's turn:

Then, after a nice lunch, it was time for fun. Several kids wanted to perform their "special talents" for Mrs. Hyde.. as their classmates gathered eagerly.

There was some tap dancing.. he is really very good.. and that prompted some of the other kids to get up and dance, too.

Then it was time for cake!

Mrs. Hyde will be at school for the next two weeks still, but they are busy ones, including vacations for us and many other students, so it was nice to have the party at a time when most everybody could attend.

THANK YOU, MRS. HYDE!!!
