Drama Queen

Ellie fell and hurt herself doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing. Nothing bad just a scrape on her knee. It bled a little but nothing major or that a bandaid (regular, not even a princess bandaid) couldn't fix. But she was a drama queen about it. Last night she hopped around in one leg saying she couldn't walk because of her scrape.

I figured this morning she would have forgotten all about it. Nope, she still hopped and limped. She made me carry her.

So when we got to school, I explained to her teacher that Ellie has a boo-boo on her knee that is impeding her ability to walk and for recess if they could just set a chair in the shade for her, because there was no way she would be able to play with this boo-boo, that would be best.

Well, you know what didn't hurt after I asked the teacher that? Yep, her knee. Miraculously it was all better.




Of course she wasn't too happy with me. But hey, every now and then I gotta show her I have some brains and can't be manipulated by a 4 year old...
