Tomorrow's a home day?

Ellie asked me that this morning. Is tomorrow a home day? Apparently it seems this first week back has been a little tough for her. She hasn't told us much about it and the teachers say she's been great... So I don't know what's up.

Last night she begged to go to bed early because she was so tired. But then she couldn't fall asleep. I think it's the heat. We have had some record temps this past week in Pasadena.

At school I asked her to show me her new favorite work. She pointed to a bowl of peanuts.



But before she could explain what peanut work is...she declared that she had a potty emergency.

After her potty break, she sat down to color a little bit before school started.
