Recovering from a long weekend

We had a long fun weekend. It was a lot of girl time as nick went to the USC game on Saturday and filled in for a coworker who was sick on Sunday.

Saturday, Ellie and I baked chocolate chip pumpkin muffins (my favorite!) and went shopping in the morning. Then she went to a birthday party for a school friend on Saturday which involved a lot if water play.

Saturday night, Nick started to build a Lego back to the future time machine. It has a lot of pieces, and some fun details. Should be exciting once its complete.

Sunday we were going to go to a trial ballet class...but apparently the class was cancelled due to a fire in an adjacent building. Ellie was bummed, but we found another activity...

We went to the Pasadena Pan-Asia museum for their family day (free with activities for kids). It was fun, but I'm not sure what breakdancing has to do with Korean culture. Ellie did enjoy the tai kwon do demonstration though. We then went to the Pasadena Arts Festival which was fun, but we enjoyed the a/c of the stores at the mall a bit more.

Today is the start of swimming lessons again. Ellie seemed excited this morning. It also means I have to put her hair up in the mornings.

She settled down with a dollhouse before I left and school started for the day.
