Her hair was a bit messy still in braids but she didn't care. She asked for barrette to hold down some of the loose pieces, but it was still a mess.
Today was sharing day and she took one of her favorite Ranger Rick magazines to share. She has this one memorized so it appears impressive when she "reads" it.
She showed me some books that she was reading. She read a couple pages but the sentences were simple in not sure she was reading or actually just had it memorized. But she did help me read the sign that said school would be closed on Monday for Veterans Day. She got the words school, on, Monday, and November, and the. All sight words for her at this time.
Also I learned a new "rule of the school". During nap the kids wear their shoes, "in case of an emergency so that they don't forget their shoes and can walk outside".
