Weather with Ellie

This morning Ellie was convinced it was going to rain. Some showers actually are in the forecast, though none have fallen yet, but I didn't tell her about that.

I come downstairs after getting dressed to find Ellie having a bowl of Raisin Bran when she takes my hand and leads me to the window. "It's gonna rain, Daddy. See? Clouds are up there (pointing to the gray sky outside the window)."

Well.. it was cloudy.. and could rain.. so we got her rain boots and rain jacket on. Once outside Ellie felt the need to reiterate to me that there were "clouds up there.. AND it's windy."



At the bus stop (well, the chairs outside the Grasshopper) she actually requested her picture be taken. "Take my picture please. I show grandma and grandpa my rain boots I'm wearing."


Then.. on the bus.. Ellie showed me the "fun way" to ride. "I go on my knees on the boat, too!" (She means on her class trip to the aquarium from a couple weeks back.)
