Well, my precocious 4 year old totally loved the activity and was able to do it herself. So there...6+ my butt. We did a cupcake and a heart and then used ribbon and made them as door hangers. She was so excited by the activity and her creation.
Anyway, Ellie was pumped to take her cupcake and my heart (that she also helped with) to school today for sharing.

Last night she was explaining something new about school, the "unfinished work bin". Apparently if you don't finish work, you can "save" it for the next day. What was Ellies unfinished work? Addition problem sets (yeah, I called them a problem set, I'm an engineer). I asked her to show me her problem sets (I called them sheets with her) and how she works out the answer. She showed me the "bars" of different length (units) that you put together and then see the total length (ex. bar of 1 unit paired with bar of 4 unit length makes a bar of a total of 5 unit length so she learns that 1+4=5).

Then she was pumped that she wasn't the first one there and she could join the girls coloring circle.
