Tuesday of a holiday week

It's sharing day!! What did Ellie want to take? Well, grandma Pam would be happy and it makes me excited that I did sign her up for "little naturalist" camp at the SB Museum of Natural history.

So remember this guy that we saw on our house a few weeks ago?

Well, he came back and over the weekend we found him hanging out by our stoop hidden in the plants. Then we found him deceased (new vocabulary word today too) in the grass.

So guess what Ellie took to school for sharing?

I explained to Ellie's new teacher about the dead beetle and the previous dead bee. Ms. Wildhaber (new teacher) thought these were the best sharing items ever and couldn't wait to discuss bugs and insects during sharing time. (Loving new teacher right now).

Also when we got to school Ellie showed me all the new and different activities the new teacher had brought and set up including a houseplant that the kids take care of, basket of clothes to practice folding and a series of bolts, screws that students use real tools to remove and reinstall (all part of the practical life portion of the Montessori program). Also, there is a new sewing station where kids see on buttons. Seriously. Loving the new teacher, always good to mix up the activities!
