Monday of a holiday week

Ellie, despite having a little bug over the weekend and forced to take it easy, was back to her normal grumpy self this morning. We got to school a little late (by our standards) but she was the only kid there! It seems like everyone has taken off for the holiday week. But she was happy to find a "BIG" leaf to show me.



So yeah, as I mentioned Ellie had to take it easy over the weekend. Between the hot weather (triple digits in Pasadena) and her recovering from whatever bug she had we took it pretty easy. This included a trip to the movies yesterday for everyone to see Monsters University. Ellie wasn't a fan, Boo wasn't in it and she didn't get most of the jokes (she hasn't been to college or seen any college humor movies like Animal House or Revenge of the Nerds). But she was happy with her popcorn and air conditioning.
