Mailing it In

This morning in our way to the bus stop Ellie helped me put our Christmas cards in the mail. She asked if we were sending them to a lot of people: "We send to Grandma and Grandpa, and Cindy, and SuSu, and baby Tristan, and my cousin William, and Chadwick, and Kiernan, and Meara, and and grandma Kost?..." She sort of trailed off from there. I'm pretty sure she was just going stream of consciousness.. naming as many names of people that came into her head.


Before we left the house Ellie actually asked me if I'd take her picture while she ate breakfast in front of our Christmas tree. So.. here you go:


She also said.. "I want to stand by Ellie and Santa." So.. she positioned the picture of the two of then where she wanted it.

At school Ellie spent some rims tracing letters on those little magnet tracing boards. She did a good job recognizing several letters -- "E," of course, was easiest for her.


Bonus picture time! Yesterday Ellie and I were playing hide and seek in her room.. taking turns finding spots to hide as the other one waited in the hallway. Inspired by one of my hiding spots, Ellie decided to bury herself in some stuffed animals.
