I told her it was best if she left the big, heavy, fancy, expensive camera for mommy and daddy, but she could use my phone to get some snapshots. To which she said, "I'm not snapping. I want to take pictures."
These are the two photos Ellie clicked:
She tried to get a picture of Oscar and Elmo together, but Oscar is just barely in there.
Ellie told me to make a funny face.
After she was done taking pictures of her own Ellie asked to have her picture taken with Baby Sister. "I will look cute with baby," she said.
Once at school Ellie practiced some cutting at the safety scissors table. She wound up cutting a little triangle out of one of the magazines.. inadvertently, I think, but she did tell me it was a triangle.. recognizing it once it was out.
Notice, Mom and Dad, how she got her tongue working while cutting. It was going the whole time. So maybe weird cutting / writing / drawing habits are genetic?
Also at school Ellie showed me a drawing / stamp creation she'd made yesterday.. and almost correctly identified the stamp she used as the letter "U." It was actually a "V," but they're pretty similar.
