Bear of a Breakfast

This morning Ellie and I had a couple bowls of Cheerios together for breakfast.. all the while thinking and talking about what she should bring for Show-and-Tell today. Yesterday Ellie's pink princess baseball cap was apparently a huge hit with the class, even though she told me she wouldn't let the boys in her class put it on -- "There's princesses on it. Princesses are girls only." Apparently she let Chadwick, James, Thomas, and Nolan look at it and hold it, at least.

Ellie is getting pretty good at using big spoons when eating cereal...

...and now she's copying my drinking the last bit of milk from the bowl, too.

No spilling, thankfully. Just a few drips and a little milk mustache.

Ellie finally settled on bringing Potbelly to school for Show-and-Tell.. while impressing me by remembering his life story (Cliff's Notes version) -- "This was Daddy's Teddy bear. Now it's for Ellie."

Before we left Ellie demonstrated how Potbelly could share a seat with her on the bus. "Teddy bear sits in my lap."

And.. after a quick, but happy trip to the bus stop, that's just what he did.
