This morning she showed off "Same-same Cinderellas, Daddy!"
Yesterday on our way home from school Ellie sung a song I hadn't heard her sing before. It was "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?".. the song the Three Little Pigs sing in the cartoon version of the story. Mr. Ron, the daycare center's resident singer and guitar player introduced the class to the song and the story yesterday at school.
Once we got home Ellie was very concerned that the Big Bad Wolf would "huff and puff and bloooooooooow our house down!" (She knew that part.. as well as the part about hair on her chinny chin chin.")
"I don't like the Big Bad Wolf, Daddy." I had to reassure her that he can't get in our house because our house has bricks. She nervously pointed the bricks out to me this morning while talking about how "the Big Bad Wolf can't come in our house!"
After that Ellie had fun making a sticker page for "Grandma Van and Grandma Harrer".. in her words. Guess we'll have to split it evenly.
After noticing the previous shot there was kind of dark, I switched the flash on my camera on -- as my new phone has one now -- and that caught Ellie a little off-guard. "What's that bright light, Daddy?!" It was funny.
After that it was back to stickers.
On the bus we had a minor disagreement. I was sitting next to Ellie -- she had the window seat -- and we were looking out the same window.. until I was told I wasn't allowed to. "You look out your window!" she says while trying to push my head in the other direction. She was laughing, though.. so I think she was joking too. And when I told her that we could look out the same window if we wanted she agreed just fine -- "Okay. We're sharing."
