Breakfast and a Movie

Actually not a movie. Just a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. And don't worry.. that popcorn wasn't what I gave Ellie for breakfast. She had a bowl of yogurt, but then spotted Ann's popcorn bag from last night on the counter and asked to have some. Apparently, though, it was a little old. "This popcorn is cold and squishy. Yucky." She only had that one piece you see there.

On our way to school Ellie helped me drop a couple letters in the mail and was amazed to see what she did on the side of the bus. "Hey, Daddy! That's a sandwich on the bus! That's silly!" Sure enough.. it was an ad for Dietz & Watson deli products featuring a big picture of a sub sandwich on it. When we got on the bus Ellie demonstrated some decent special skills. "Hey.. the sandwich is behind us now." ... as we sat against the window under which she'd spotted the sandwich.

What was on the back of the bus tickled her fancy even more, though: an ad for Disney Princesses On Ice. It's coming to the TD Garden later this month and needless to say.. and without prompting from me.. Ellie would like to go. "Hey, I see princesses ice skating. Cinderella and Rapunzel! Can I watch them ice skate?" I told her we'd talk to Mommy.

Once at school Ellie was sure to tuck her Show & Tell item into her cubby before any friends spotted it. "I can show my friends my ballerina skirt and spin around dancing."

Ellie also said she would like to take a nap in her "pretty skirt." I told her she had to ask her teachers about that one.

Inside the classroom Ellie, Meara, and Paris got busy having some fun pretending to make pancakes out of playdough.
