Ellie decided she wanted to use different accessories since Daddy wasn't there. Despite my warning that her choice of hat probably wouldnt be warm enough, she insisted. At least her feet would be warm in her new boots!!
When crossing the street to get the bus, the crossing guard was surprises to see me and not Nick. She asked Ellie if I was her mom and then asked where her dad was. Ellie didn't say anything, as usual I guess, but pointed to her teeth.
She was happy to get to school...but sad to see me leave (the teachers said it was just an act and not to worry). Although her teachers and Meara were excited about her new boots.
