Ahead of the Game?

Maybe Ellie has actually taking all of our big talk about Potty Training Boot Camp Weekend to heart.. because this morning she asked to sit on the potty.. then went pretty much immediately.

"Yea, Ellie! I pee-pee on the potty! I make Mommy and Daddy so happy! Yeeeeeeeea! ... I have candy now?"






Sure enough.. she picked out a sticker and got a few mini M&M's. She only asked for four, but they seemed to make her plenty happy. She's showing a green one off in that first picture up there.

Back upstairs, after getting dressed, Ellie then asked.. "I have breakfast on Mommy's desk?" She did a good job sitting still and keeping her toast crumbs in check -- all the while talking proudly about her potty accomplishment. Tomorrow we go diaper-less. Should be an adventure.

Ellie wanted to wear her sunglasses to school today. She enjoys her two new pairs. This is one of them:










Once at school Ellie said.. "Shayna's last day. I give her a big hug!"

Sadly, it is Shayna's last day at Bright Horizons. She starts next week at a center closer to her new home in Melrose.. to the north. But it's not all bad news. It turns out both Shayna and Chadwick's family signed up for memberships at the Franklin Park and Stone Zoos like we have. So.. there will likely be several play dates with animals *and* friends in the future.
