The Joy of Socks?

Ellie has seemed to cave on a once divisive issue -- wearing socks. This morning I was about to help her put on her shoes, but before I could even get the first one on Ellie said, "No, Daddy. Socks first."

I asked, "Really? But you never wear socks."

Ellie replies, "I want socks like Kiernan and Chadwick."

Yea for peer pressure! Ellie was excited to show off her new clothing accessory while putting her shoes on.

Right before leaving Ellie decided she wanted to take her new Dumbo stuffed animal to school for Show and Tell. That should be a pretty big hit.

On our walk to the bus stop Ellie told me she wanted melon (cantaloupe) for snack -- "It's juicy, Daddy. Yummy." What luck.. because that's what I packed for her. On the way to the bus Ellie also had fun jumping over tiny rain puddles on the sidewalk.

When we stepped off the bus by the Schrafft's Center Ellie spotted the little glassed-in bus stop and asked what if was. After I explained Ellie took a moment to sit on the bench under the canopy, which she enjoyed. (Her rain jacket wasn't lost, by the way. She just got a bit warm in it and wanted to put it in her bag.)

At school, on the way down to the Toddler 2 room, each friend took turns giving the fish a pinch of food.
