Potty Training Bootcamp: Winning the War

After an increasingly successful long weekend of potty training (including Ellie waking up dry this morning and going to the potty first thing!) it's back to school -- armed with plenty of big girl underwear.. and our rain gear.

Ellie wanted to open my umbrella herself, but couldn't quite push the button down on her own.









Then she wanted to carry the umbrella herself before noticing I was getting rained on -- it wasn't coming down very hard -- and offering to then share the umbrella with me. "We both use umbrella, Daddy. You carry. I'm too little."



After a while, Ellie started to feel the drops through her pants, "My pants get wet," while being sure to quickly inform me, "but not of pee-pee, Daddy! Of rain."





Once at school Ellie was happy to tell her teachers about all she learned over the weekend and how.. "I learn to be a big girl!"

She also told them, "I tell you if I go to potty."
