We spent probably a good 15 minutes tossing and rolling the balls back and forth with each other while sitting on the floor. Toward the end Ellie told me, "I like baseball, Daddy. I'm a Cubbie. Go Cubbies!" Truth is, she can catch and throw the ball about as well as some of the actual Cubs.
The one downer of the morning came at the playground where she had a poo-poo accident. Peeing in the potty is a breeze now.. as Ellie knows whenever she has to go, walking over to the potty and pulling her pants down on her own each time. Hasn't been a pee accident in over a week. Number 2 is still a problem for some reason.. but she'll get there.
As we waited for the bus -- at the stop one further up Bunker Hill St. (closest to the playground) -- Ellie found a patch of weeds and liked one in particular. It's the kind that has a long, thin stem and a fuzzy seed cluster at the top. Ellie asked me, "That a caterpillar on there, Daddy?" I explained it was a plant that had some fuzzy seeds on it. To which she said, "No caterpillar. It's a plant! Silly, Ellie!"
