Building Blocks

This morning Ellie once again followed me to the basement.. taking a strange interest in my daily cleaning of Mallie's litter box -- or as Ellie calls it, "Mallie's poo-poo and pee-pee box."

After that fun stuff was over Ellie decided to add a couple more blocks to the Duplo structure she's come to call "the man's elevator." She then described to me in detail how elevators work -- "Push the button and open door. Step on. Push button again. Door open. Step out."












I asked her what happens when you're inside the elevator, and she said, "Go up and down. At airport." Guess that's where she's probably ridden the most elevators.



Once back upstairs Ellie spent some time sharing her apple sauce and blueberries with Baby Sister.. then pointed out pictures of Illini-related stuff in her little Illini 101 book to Mallie -- "That's a hat. That's a marching band. See, Mallie?"
